What Is Sheet Metal Fabrication?

Sheet metal fabrication is the process of transforming flat metal sheets into finished parts through cutting, bending, welding, and finishing. It is widely used for enclosures, brackets, control panels, chassis, and structural components.

    Sheet Metal Fabrication Finishing

    Standard

    Standard

No post‑processing. Parts are used directly after CNC cutting. Visible tool marks remain – ideal for functional prototypes and cost‑sensitive projects.

    Anodizing

    Anodizing

Electrochemical oxidation creates a durable, corrosion‑resistant layer on aluminum. Available in clear, black, or colors. Enhances wear resistance and appearance.

    Hardcoat Anodizing

    Hardcoat Anodizing

Thicker than standard anodizing (up to 50µm). Provides extreme wear and abrasion resistance for high‑friction or military/aerospace applications.

    Conductive Anodizing

    Conductive Anodizing

Modified anodizing process that leaves the surface electrically conductive. Ideal for EMI shielding, grounding contacts, and electronic housings.

    Powder Coating

    Powder Coating

Electrostatic application of colored powder, then heat‑cured. Thick, impact‑resistant, and decorative. Excellent corrosion protection for outdoor parts.

    Brushing

    Brushing

Mechanical abrasion produces fine, linear grain patterns. Common on stainless steel and aluminum for a satin, decorative finish that hides fingerprints.

    Silkscreen

    Silkscreen

Durable ink printing for logos, labels, control panels, and instructions. High contrast, good adhesion, and chemical resistance.

    Laser Marking

    Laser Marking

Permanent, high‑contrast marks (serial numbers, logos, 2D codes) without surface damage. No consumables, fast, and highly precise.

    FAQs About Sheet Metal Manufacturing

What is the minimum order quantity for sheet metal parts?

No minimum – we accept one piece as well as large production runs.

Maximum part length is 800mm; sheet thickness up to 6mm.

    Cutting: ±0.1mm, bending: ±0.3mm, general: ±0.2mm.

STEP, IGES, STL, SolidWorks, and PDF drawings.

    Requirements as follows:

    • -Please upload the marking/silkscreen drawing based on the actual flat shape after bending (how the part looks once fully bent and flattened). Do NOT upload the unbent, unfolded sheet exported from CAD.
    • -Clearly draw part outline and hole positions (if included).
    • -Text (if included) must use a double-line font with a 0.2mm line width.
